We all have a story to tell.
My name is Kaitlind, the lead think-tank behind 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝑨 𝑴𝒐𝒎 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈. First off, I would love to say thank you for being moved enough to check into this extraordinary movement.
And secondly, how difficult is it to try and sum up our lives in a few, short paragraphs? It’s definitely not easy, but I’ll do my best.
With that said, I’d like to give you a quick snapshot of what life has been like and why I am so adamant about creating a place for women to rally together and offer the support we all so need.
I used to say this quite a bit: “I feel like I’ve been through so much, simply to be able to say “I understand” to someone who desperately needs to hear it.”
I’ve been a single mother and a mother of loss. I’ve been a wife who has struggled in her marriage. I’ve been a woman who has known trauma and tragedy.
I’ve known what it’s like to feel stuck in my body, stuck in the house, stuck with work, stuck with no work, stuck in relationships, stuck with sleepless nights, stuck in all of the things. Just, stuck.
I’ve known what it’s like to barely get by. I’ve known what it’s like to barely make ends meet. I’ve known struggle. Can you relate? I bet you sure can.
But, I’ve also been a woman who has learned how to pick up the pieces; someone who has experienced massive amounts of blessings and grace.
I’ve gotten to know what it’s like to be able to truly heal, and learned what it’s like to actually help my own self, to help my loved ones, and to help others.
And perhaps most important of all, I’ve learned the very real difference between happiness & joy.
It’s been a wild ride, but it’s all led to right here.
I’ve been blessed to have a support system through it all, one that so many others never get to know or experience for themselves.
That’s what this amazing group of women coming together is all about.
Here - is the place to find a shoulder to lean on and a listening ear. Here is a place that will help you learn to let go, or to even learn something new. Here, you don’t have to walk alone, but will find a sisterhood. Yes, here is where inspiration lives and possibilities abound.
Here. We unequivocally support one another.
At IAMT, we understand that true and lasting change begins with us. It begins within ourselves, within the walls of our own homes, and within the connections of our communities. The future is in our hands.
Now, this might seem a little far fetched or maybe even a bit ridiculous, but let me ask you - what’s the alternative thing to believe in? To keep things as they’ve always been?
No, life is too precious and far too short for that.
Your dreams and list of possibilities should be big enough to astound you.
